Service Area:

Primarily, Napa County has a lot of projects in Solano County, frequent projects in Sonoma and Marin County, and a few projects in the East Bay and San Francisco from time to time.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated, experienced, high-performing Super Intendant who has the capability to help us with schedule, site, subcontractor, and client management of a project. As a Superintendent, your primary responsibility is to manage subcontractors, site conditions, schedule, client needs, and to keep all stakeholders in the loop at all times with what is going on for as many as 5-10 projects at any given time spread out between 1-2 Large projects (500k-2M), 1-3 Medium sized projects(100k-500K) and 3-5 Small Projects (100k or Less)

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Review & understand the complete project scope, plans, specifications & quality standards of our company and the Client
  • Daily logs are completed each day on the project until completion of the project
  • The schedule is online and up to date at all times, with follow-ups to all scope assignees as needed per the schedule
  • Meet with subcontractors before they start work to review their scope of work, work time frame, and materials needed.
  • Communicate daily and proactively with PM, Subcontractors, Vendors, and Clients on a daily basis to discuss project issues, progress, requirements, and future goals.
  • Check every morning by walking the job site completely to ensure the subcontractors' schedules are on site and working on the correct phase of your project (Have the right subs and workers for the job in the right place at the right time )
  • Spend extra time reviewing project details to ensure the project (and your) success.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, be the leader of the project, and take full responsibility for the outcome of your project.t
  • Maintain an extra safe project site
  • Inspections are being completed and passed
  • Ensure subcontractors are complying with the drawings, specs, and contract ter.ms.
  • Resolve project obstacles and come up with creative solutions
  • Attend project closeout meeting/final walkthrough with client
  • Contact your Project Manager at any time to assist with the project and provide approvals
  • Provide on-site measuring and Documentation for the estimator when needed for new projects
  • Create detailed and accurate Change orders for the project manager's review
  • Create Purchase Orders and Bills for PM to review and upload all Receipts every week
  • Promote Services. Talk about the services offered by the company and provide contact information.
  • Lead Generation. Always be on the lookout for potential new clients and sales opportunities.
  • Referral Encouragement. Encourage satisfied clients to refer neighbors and friends to the company.

Candidates Must Have/Be:

  • 6+ years of experience in an equal or higher responsibility role
  • A CA Driver's License
  • Able to read architectural blueprints very confidently
  • "Tech Savvy" and be able to learn and use basic mobile and computer applications and Softwares
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Attention to small details
  • Proficient / Advanced Carpentry / Framing skills/knowledge
  • Know common international building codes
  • Basic knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fireproofing, waterproofing, and interior/exterior design
  • The ability to execute tasks quickly and efficiently
  • The Ability and willingness to perform any site work needed and use basic tools when the need arises
  • 2+ Years Experience with hauling/towing trailers
  • Ability to speak and understand Spanish at a basic conversational level

Compensation and work hours

  • This position is on-call, salaried, Monday-Friday, 8 am- 5 pm standard site operating hours, with availability requested as needed for the project and schedule needs, including early starts, late starts, and weekend availability when needed
