Customer Solutions Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite)

Salary: $110K–$165K +equity

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing B2B SaaS company for a Customer Solutions Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to become an expert in a complex product, lead both sales demos and customer onboarding, and guide their customers end-to-end. You will work closely with engineers and leadership while contributing to sales processes, customer success, and scaling onboarding operations.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Discovery & Pre-Sales

  • Lead discovery calls and product demos with prospects
  • Answer technical questions and position the product within customer systems
  • Qualify fit, identify blockers, and advise on implementation details
  • Maintain and update demo materials and customer-facing collateral

Customer Onboarding & Success

  • Own end-to-end onboarding for customers, ensuring smooth implementations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during onboarding
  • Configure the product to meet individual customer needs
  • Train customers on product usage, including integrations and edge cases
  • Create and maintain implementation best practices and FAQ documentation
  • Identify churn risks and potential upsell opportunities

Project Management

  • Manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously, with clear plans, milestones, and timelines
  • Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with engineering to resolve complex challenges
  • Identify process gaps and provide feedback for product improvement

Process Improvement & Scaling

  • Develop scalable onboarding processes for hundreds of customers
  • Build tools, templates, and automation to reduce manual effort
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve features and onboarding efficiency
  • Track key KPIs for onboarding timelines and process success

Requirements

  • 1–5 years of experience in:
  • Consulting (PwC, Deloitte, Accenture, McKinsey) OR
  • Customer success, implementation, integrations, ERP, or similar at a VC-backed startup
  • Open to new graduates (Fall/Winter 2025)
  • Strong interest in learning complex B2B SaaS products
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build long-term customer relationships
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
