Job Title: Investment Analyst / Associate, Renewable Infrastructure

About the Opportunity:
An established platform investing in and developing clean energy assets is looking to add an Analyst / Associate to its finance team. The group focuses on originating, structuring, and executing transactions across solar and energy storage projects, working with utilities and commercial counterparties.
Role Overview:
This position will support the evaluation and execution of energy infrastructure investments. The role sits within the capital formation and finance function and partners closely with development, technical, and legal teams throughout the lifecycle of projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
Modeling and Investment Analysis:
• Build and refine detailed financial models to evaluate project economics and investment returns
• Perform scenario and downside analyses to assess key risks and sensitivities
• Review underlying project inputs, agreements, and assumptions to support underwriting
Transaction Execution:
• Assist in structuring and closing financing arrangements across multiple capital sources, including equity and debt providers
• Interface with financing counterparties and external advisors during diligence and closing processes
• Develop internal materials summarizing investment rationale and key metrics
Project-Level Financial Oversight:
• Track budgets, forecasts, and capital deployment across active projects
• Monitor financial performance relative to expectations
• Support reporting on project-level and portfolio-level metrics
Cross-Functional Coordination:
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across development, engineering, and legal functions
• Help ensure alignment between financial assumptions and project execution timelines
• Maintain organized records of key documents and transaction materials
Market and Industry Analysis:
• Conduct research on market conditions, pricing dynamics, and policy developments
• Identify trends that may impact investment strategy or asset performance
• Contribute to internal perspectives on market positioning and opportunities
Compliance and Reporting:
• Assist with lender and investor reporting requirements
• Track obligations under financing agreements
• Support audit and diligence processes as needed
Qualifications:
Education:
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
• Advanced credentials are a plus but not required
Experience:
• Approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure finance, advisory, or investing
• Exposure to energy or real assets is beneficial
• Demonstrated experience building and using financial models
Skill Set:
• Strong Excel and analytical capabilities
• Understanding of capital structures and project-based financing
• Familiarity with contracted revenue frameworks (e.g., long-term offtake agreements) is helpful
