Title: Senior HVAC Sales Consultant – Heat Pumps & Clean Energy

Location: San Francisco Bay Area (Hybrid with travel)

Salary: $95,000 base + uncapped commission (OTE $150,000 to $220,000) + healthcare + vision

Overview

We are partnering with a high growth clean energy business delivering residential solar and energy efficient heating and cooling solutions across California. The business is scaling rapidly and is looking to hire an experienced HVAC Sales Consultant to support continued growth in the Bay Area.

This is a consultative, solutions led sales role focused on residential heat pump systems. You will work closely with technical and installation teams, guiding customers through the full sales journey from initial consultation through to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Sell residential HVAC systems with a focus on heat pumps and energy efficient solutions
• Carry out customer consultations, assess requirements, and design tailored system proposals
• Present solutions clearly across in person meetings, calls, and written proposals
• Work closely with internal technical, operations, and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery
• Generate new business through referrals, networking, and local market outreach
• Stay up to date on incentives, rebates, and regulatory developments across California
• Manage pipeline activity and track progress through internal systems

Requirements

• Proven experience in HVAC sales, ideally with exposure to heat pumps or mini split systems
• Strong consultative sales approach with the ability to translate technical solutions into clear customer value
• Confident communicator across both technical and non technical audiences
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously
• Self motivated with a strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
