Job SummaryWellness Solutions, a WorkCare Company, is searching for experienced Wellness Coaches to join us at onsite screening and wellness coaching events for our first responder clients in California. Additional screening wellness coaching events are scheduled at various locations throughout California. Events take place on weekdays during normal business hours (Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm PST). Each event ranges 3‑5 days in length. Interested candidates must have a flexible schedule and the ability to be onsite full days for the duration of the event. FMS (functional movement screening) experience is required. FMS Level 1 or higher certification is highly preferred; must be willing to obtain FMS certification within timeframe specified in the offer letter if not currently certified. This position requires regular travel throughout California to support and attend various events, meetings, and engagements. Candidates must be comfortable with frequent travel and possess reliable transportation.Event Dates and LocationsApril 22: St. Helena, CAApril 23 – 24: Santa Rosa, CAApril 25: Middletown, CAApril 26: Winters, CAJune 24: Middletown, CAJune 25: Winters, CAJune 26 – 27: St. Helena, CAJune 28: Santa Rosa, CAEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct various on‑site fitness screenings including blood pressure, body fat measurements (BIA), FMS assessments, and other screenings following ACSM guidelines.Conduct virtual wellness consultations/follow‑ups with participants regarding bloodwork results (lipid panel and cardiovascular markers), exercise, injury prevention and rehabilitation, nutrition and weight management, stress management, blood pressure and cholesterol management, and general health education. Provide additional follow‑up services to medium to high risk individuals.Enter data to track program participation on wellness platform.QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Nutrition, or related field required.FMS Level 1 or higher certification highly preferred; must be willing to obtain certification within the timeframe specified in the offer letter if not currently certified.Certified ACSM Clinical Exercise Specialist or Certified by the American Society of Exercise Physiologists (preferred).3 years of experience providing wellness and fitness testing services and wellness coaching, preferably with first responders.Fitness testing experience (VO₂ Max, Functional Movement Screen, etc.) and fitness related certifications (CPR, ACSM, NSCA, CES, etc.) required.Skills and CompetenciesOutgoing and personable with a passion for health and wellness.Flexible schedule to accommodate participants.Strong background in injury prevention.Strong health and fitness knowledge.Self‑starter with the ability to work independently.Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time.Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to create and edit written materials and communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.Demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors and clients.Strong time management, organizational and follow‑through skills.Ability to meet and exceed daily and weekly individual performance goals.Requires regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.Computer SkillsCompetent in Windows operating system, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and able to learn other software as needed.Physical DemandsRequires sitting and standing for long periods of time.Ability to kneel for extended periods while rendering emergency care and/or CPR.Some bending, stretching and crouching required.Travel required.Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.Manual dexterity required for use of computer and mouse.Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds and climb stairs.Work EnvironmentMainly indoor office environment conditions.Noise level is usually moderate.Air quality is good and temperature controlled.For virtual consultations, work environment must be free from background noise and distraction, noise level acceptable, temperature controlled. Home setup must meet all company IT, privacy and safety requirements.This position has an hourly pay range of $30 – $35 per hour.
