Founding Software Engineer (Full-Stack / Backend) - AI Platform

Location: San Francisco | Fully Onsite

Salary: Competitive $160,000 - $250,000 DOE + equity

Investment: Seed-stage and backed by tier 1 investors

We have partnered with a very exciting AI firm who are building an AI operating system for corporate transformation. They are on the lookout for a Founding Software Engineers to join the team.

Exciting time to join the scale: early stage, funded by top-tier investors, part of a selective AI pilot program, and already live with paying pilots across private equity, government, and large enterprises.

Please note: We are looking for engineers who want to join an intense start up environment; building towards Series A / B, big commitment but massive rewards and unrivalled experience.

Tech Stack:

• Backend: Python, FastAPI
• Frontend: React, TypeScript
• Infra: AWS (ECS Fargate, RDS, S3, CloudFront), Terraform, Docker
• DB: Postgres

Experience:

• Build and scale the core platform

  APIs, microservices, and orchestration systems

  
  

• Design, deploy, and operate production infrastructure on AWS
• Work directly with customers to map systems and deliver end-to-end solutions
• Shape product direction, technical architecture, and company culture as a founding team member
• ML / Applied AI
• High-agency builder who takes full ownership and moves fast
• Comfortable in 0?1 environments and wearing multiple hats
• Confident in high-intensity, customer-facing settings
• Obsessed with shipping polished, production-grade work

Essential Experience Required:

• Backend or full-stack experience at a fast-paced startup or top-tier company
• Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience integrating enterprise systems or working with OAuth / SSO

Beneficial:

CS/CE/DS/EE undergraduate degree from a top 5 school (e.g., MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, CMU, UIUC)

US Citizen (Not essential but helps with some of the clearance required on certain projects)

Strong desire to join an intense start-up environment
