Wine Educator plays a key role in creating a unique and memorable experience for every guest. This position brings the brand to life through engaging storytelling, deep wine knowledge, and exceptional hospitality-with a strong focus on--The Wine Educator hosts tours, private experiences, heritage tastings, and other intimate engagements on property. This role requires a passion for wine education, a commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to connect authentically with guests while representing the history, family legacy, and wines of Bundschu Co.The Wine Educator also serves as a mentor and leader within the team, contributing to ongoing education and supporting the development of Tasting Room Concierge and Runners.--Key ResponsibilitiesWine Knowledge & EducationDemonstrate strong expertise in wine education, viticulture, and Bundschu Co. historyActively participate in and contribute to internal wine education programs and curriculum developmentMaintain deep knowledge of small-production and featured wines (e.g., Heritage wines, Bundschu Cabernet, etc.)Commit to ongoing, self-driven wine educationGuest Experience & Brand AmbassadorshipServe as the lead educator and host for tours, private tastings, and heritage experiencesDeliver engaging, personalized, and high-touch guest experiencesRepresent the Bundschu Co. brand with authenticity, warmth, and professionalismBuild meaningful relationships with guests through storytelling and connectionSales ExcellenceIntegrate wine education with a strong focus on salesConfidently ask for the sale and guide guests through purchasing decisionsTake ownership of achieving retail goals, including wine sales, wine club sign-ups, and guest data collectionTeam Collaboration & AdaptabilitySupport operations across multiple service areas, including the Tasting Room, Courtyard, Donkey, and Rhinefarm tastingsCollaborate cross-functionally with DTC and other departmentsParticipate in virtual tastings and outbound guest engagement effortsAdapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team-first mindsetCustomer Service ExcellenceAnticipate and respond to guest needs with care and attentionEngage guests in a way that reflects the brand's values and hospitality standardsMaintain a positive, enthusiastic, and solution-oriented approach in all interactionsProfessionalismUphold high standards of appearance, communication, and conductMaintain a polished and professional presence in all guest-facing environmentsEnsure back-of-house behaviors (e.g., cell phone use, eating, drinking) remain out of guest viewCommunicate with respect and professionalism with both guests and team membersSystems & OperationsDemonstrate proficiency (or strong coachability) with POS/AMS systemsAccurately process transactions, including retail sales, shipping orders, and will-call pickupsMaintain and update guest information within the customer management systemApply strong problem-solving skills and remain open to feedback and coachingWork StyleWork independently to set up, execute, and close out tastings and toursContribute as a collaborative team member in high-volume service areasNavigate diverse personalities and shifting priorities with flexibility and professionalismQualificationsMust be at least 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 1 year of experience in the wine industry requiredAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysExperience with POS systems (or willingness to learn)Professional, personable, and guest-focused demeanorPhysical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to:Lift and carry up to 40 poundsStand and walk for extended periods (6-8 hours per shift)Bend, reach, and maintain full range of motion during serviceWhy Join UsAt Bundschu Co., you're not just pouring wine-you're sharing a legacy.
