The Skeletal Conditions (SC) Medical Science Liaison (MSL) / Senior MSL is a regional field‑based position supporting the scientific and business interests of BioMarin by cultivating current and future thought leaders in academic and clinical medicine at the local, regional, and national level through in‑depth, fair‑balanced scientific exchange and strategic insight gathering. MSLs are the primary communicators of BioMarin science with healthcare providers and other key medical stakeholders and viewed as peer scientific experts in their therapeutic area. The MSLs combine strong business acumen, market awareness, and clinical expertise to serve as a conduit of information to internal stakeholders in support of strategic planning and product development. In this role, you will identify clinical and post‑marketing study investigators in alignment with the SC Medical Affairs objectives and provide actionable information and insights to internal stakeholders that may enhance the value and appropriate use of BioMarin products. You will also be responsible for supporting the initiation and development of Investigator Research proposals (IRs). The Senior MSL must possess in‑depth knowledge of BioMarin's ACH (achondroplasia) approved product, pipeline research, and all associated disease state areas. The MSL / Senior MSL is a team player and possesses the capacity to coordinate and manage initiatives among multidisciplinary stakeholders independently or with a minimum amount of oversight. This position will report into the Director, US Field‑Based Medical for the SC Medical Unit within the Global Medical Affairs (GMAF) organization. Based on therapeutic needs and product life cycles, the MSL team will focus on certain responsibilities to a greater or lesser degree. The Skeletal Conditions therapeutic area at BioMarin currently has one marketed product and ongoing research in children with ACH and additional growth‑related conditions.

The salary range for this position is: $178,200 to $267,400. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock‑based long‑term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
