Job Summary

The Facilities Worker I is responsible for winery upkeep. Tasks include grounds keeping and general clean-up of the facility.

Essential Job Functions
  • Perform landscaping and grounds work at winery or designated location.
  • Typical tasks performed include a combination of the following: Sweeping, vacuuming, light pruning, replacing shrubs and/or flowers as needed.
  • Mowing and blowing as part of routine grounds maintenance.
  • Repair of irrigation systems as needed to support grounds maintenance.
  • Clean breezeways, walkways, parking lots, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces. May use power washer
  • Empty waste and re-cycle containers.
  • Move furniture, chairs and tables as needed for various company functions.
  • Check perimeter of buildings for pest control and maintains pest control devices as needed.
  • Rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow where needed or perform other incidental seasonal tasks as needed.
  • Maintains grounds keeping equipment, tools with oil as needed, and stores properly.
  • May do light carpentry where needed.
  • Responsible for compliance with CBI sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results.
  • Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member's safety.
  • Demonstrates a natural aptitude for plant care and landscape management, proactively maintaining healthy, attractive grounds and green spaces as part of high-quality facility upkeep.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to operate machinery
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Basic math skills
ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements
  • Physical Requirements: The employee frequently is required to sit, talk or listen and drive long distances. The employee is occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and ladders, and bending are required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment: Working conditions in certain areas of the winery are cold, wet, slippery and noisy. Involves exposure to hazardous conditions. Irregular shifts, including graveyard, and long hours may be required, particularly during harvest.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Travel Required: None

The salary range for this role is: $22.16 - $32.56
