Vice President of Development
The VP of Development will report directly to the CDO and Managing Partners of the Company.
The role is located will be hybrid work with at least 2-3 days in the office (travel dependent), but will be located in one of Las Vegas, the Bay Area, Reno, Los Angeles, Boise, Phoenix or Salt Lake City. Depending on candidate, remote work will be considered.

Job Description
Arevia Power is seeking an experienced VP of Development with at least 8 years of experience in managing the development of two PV + BESS projects, two Power Lands sites and one Natural Gas power plant from early stages of “NEPA” through Notice To Proceed (NTP). The ideal candidate must have prior NEPA experience (at least two projects fully permitted) on federal lands and be experienced in land acquisitions/negotiations for in all types of real estate including easement acquisitions for interconnection rights of ways. This person will need to have a strong technical and regulatory background in project development, environmental review, and interconnection processes, along with proven success navigating complex multi-jurisdictional permitting frameworks. This role requires a versatile individual who, while not necessarily an expert in all areas, possesses sufficient knowledge to coordinate effectively and identify the right resources and contractors for the projects. Frequent travel within the market will be required to establish and maintain relationships with landowners, decision makers, key/local stakeholders and economic development entities. Performance in this role will be measured based on progressing projects toward FNTP and maintaining project health.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead site identification, feasibility analysis, and project development for renewable (solar and storage), natural gas–fueled generation, and data center projects.
· Manage the full development lifecycle — from early-stage site control and due diligence to financial close or notice to proceed (NTP).
· Oversee permitting and environmental review processes across private, state, and federal lands, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and timelines.
· Secure necessary permits under NEPA, ESA, Clean Water Act (Section 404), NHPA Section 106, and relevant state environmental policies (e.g., CEQA, SEQRA).
· Interface with federal agencies (BLM, USACE, DOE, USFWS, EPA, DOD) and state/local authorities to obtain land use entitlements, air quality permits, and other regulatory approvals.
· Manage relationships with landowners, utilities, community stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project transparency and success.
· Lead coordination with consultants and engineers on environmental studies, technical assessments, and grid interconnection applications.
· Work closely with commercial, legal, and finance teams to support offtake negotiations, cost estimates, and investment analysis.
· Track and interpret evolving energy, permitting, and data infrastructure policy that impacts development strategy.
· Manage project budgets, schedules, and technical and commercial activities throughout the development lifecycle.
· Present development progress, risks, and investment recommendations to the Investment Committee and other stakeholders as needed.
· Maintain an active project pipeline and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring milestone achievement.
· Managing and conducting due diligence on individual or portfolio acquisitions within the region, where they will work closely with the business development and M&A team to assess project risk and opportunity, complete project valuations, and make recommendations on transaction, structuring, and acquisition of assets.
