The Turnaround Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of turnaround projects within the refinery. This role ensures that all activities are performed safely, efficiently, and within budget, minimizing downtime and optimizing plant performance. The Turnaround Project Manager coordinates with various departments, contractors, and vendors to achieve project objectives.Key Responsibilities: Turnaround Planning: Develop comprehensive turnaround project plans, including scope, objectives, schedules, and resource requirements. Conduct detailed inspections and assessments to determine the necessary maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to define project goals and priorities. Budget and Cost Management: Develop and manage turnaround project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Monitor expenditures and implement cost control measures to stay within budget. Prepare and present financial reports and cost forecasts to senior management. Scheduling and Coordination: Create and maintain detailed turnaround schedules, coordinating all activities and tasks. Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for the project. Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure their activities are aligned with the project plan. Safety and Compliance: Develop and implement safety plans and procedures for turnaround activities. Ensure all project activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Conduct safety briefings and training sessions for all personnel involved in the project. Execution and Monitoring: Oversee the execution of the turnaround project plan, ensuring adherence to the schedule and quality standards. Monitor progress and performance, addressing any issues or delays promptly. Conduct regular progress meetings and provide updates to senior management and stakeholders. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure all work meets the required standards. Conduct inspections and audits to verify the quality and compliance of project activities.
