Business Manager/AccountantOur client, a boutique professional services firm, is seeking a Business Manager/Accountant to support a portfolio of high-touch clients with day-to-day financial management and accounting services.LocationSan Rafael, CA. This position is primarily hybrid with schedule flexibility.Job DescriptionThis role offers broad exposure across budgeting, cash management, payroll, and client advisory work, with the opportunity to grow responsibilities over time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of client financial operations, including budgeting, cash receipts, and disbursementsSupport complex project-based accounting, including reconciliations and financial reportingHandle day-to-day business management activities such as bill pay and bookkeepingPrepare and review financial statements and client reportsPerform cash management activities, including bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and projectionsProcess payroll and related filings, including payroll taxes and year-end reportingCoordinate with external parties such as advisors, vendors, and international counterparts as neededSupervise junior staff and assist with task prioritization and workflow managementOrganize, track, and manage multiple client deliverables and deadlines simultaneouslyProvide responsive, high-touch communication and support to clients and their teamsRequirements3+ years of experience in accounting, business management, or client-service–oriented finance rolesStrong general ledger and transactional accounting knowledgeAdvanced Excel skills and comfort working with accounting and bookkeeping toolsStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple clients and deadlines with minimal supervisionCompensationDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to:The individual's skill sets, experience, and training;Licensure and certifications;Office location and other geographic considerations;Other business and organizational needs.With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco by Highspring notes that the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
