Responsibilities include independently reprocessing flexible endoscopes and completing sterile processing tasks in accordance with applicable guidelines and manufacturer instructions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. Job Details Schedule: Nights; 8 shift hours; 40 minimum hours per week. Night shift with rotating weekends, MondayFriday 23:007:30am. Required Qualifications: Valid California license in hand; Basic Life Support (BLS); Certified Biomedical Services/Instrumentation (CBSPD) or International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management/Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (IAHCSMM/HSPA); Primary/CE required certification: Certified Endoscope Reprocessing Specialist (CFER) (or equivalent as specified); 2 years of sterile processing experience requirement (as stated); Specific charting experience with Epic (Epic); trauma experience is required (as stated); valid experience in sterile processing tasks including flexible endoscope reprocessing and ability to work independently in an ambulatory surgery setting (as stated). Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience (required level stated); ultrasonic equipment familiarity (Veriscan, Scope Buddy preferred, if applicable). Additional Information: Must be able to work with endoscopes and follow instructions for use per manufacturer recommendations and applicable AAMI guidelines. Must be compliant with all regulatory requirements. Orientation: 8 hours. On-call requirements and weekend coverage are required (2 weekends every 6-week schedule, either on call or working). Holidays: willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year). Candidates may be expected to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby your contracted facility; refusal to float may impact continued assignment.
