Founded in Oakville, California in 1885 and restored in 1979, Far Niente is consistently recognized as a benchmark producer of Napa Valley Chardonnay and Oakville Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.
Join our company which is rich in history and stature. Our team is expanding to support our growing portfolio. The Line Cook is responsible for food preparation in accordance with recipes and instructions from the Executive Chef. Supporting our overall culinary program spanning three winery estates, this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your adaptability and creativity. You will be successful in this role while performing these essential responsibilities:
- Maintain the kitchen and related areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Actively maintain a thorough knowledge of menus and kitchen functions.
- Responsible for the prep of ingredients to support menu specifications of assigned dishes. Including the stocking and setting up of their station with necessary supplies.
- Prepare food ensuring they cooked to the correct temperature and doneness.
- Responsible to follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Communicate effectively with the chef and other kitchen staff.
- Keep products clearly labeled, dated, and rotated.
- Identify ways to decrease waste and increase efficiency.

You will be qualified for this role if you meet these requirements:
- Previous experience of 1 to 2 years in a similar role.
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Training in the culinary arts.
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of a highly functioning team.
- Strong organizational skills, a passion for food, and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the predominately used language.
- Ability to lift to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand and ascend and descend stairs.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.

Compensation: Hourly ($21.50 - $25.00)
