Project Manager for K-12 schools projects (95% of the time) Location: These projects are in the San Rafael & Foster City Area Schedule: Monday–Friday (8–10 hour days, onsite) Compensation: $85,000–$150,000/year (DOE) Position Type: Direct Hire About the Opportunity A well-established construction management firm is seeking a Project Manager to lead public works and school construction projects from concept through close-out. This role is highly visible and client-facing, responsible for managing budgets, schedules, compliance, and project execution while ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Key Responsibilities Lead projects from design through construction and close-out Manage DSA-regulated public works and school construction projects, including renovations and modernization efforts Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion Oversee project budgets, including estimating, bidding, change orders, and pay applications Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders Conduct site visits to monitor quality, progress, and safety compliance Lead owner/architect/contractor (OAC) meetings and provide regular client updates Review and manage project documentation, plans, and correspondence Support approvals with governing agencies and ensure regulatory compliance Utilize Procore and Bluebeam to manage documentation and communication Qualifications Experience in construction management, preferably with public works or school projects Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and building codes Experience working on DSA projects highly preferred Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple project components simultaneously Strong communication skills and ability to work with boards, committees, and stakeholders Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and standard project management tools Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills Reliable, adaptable, and motivated to drive projects to completion What the Role Looks Like (Day-to-Day) Leading project meetings and collaborating with internal and external teams Reviewing plans, RFIs, submittals, and project updates Coordinating field activities with contractors and site staff Monitoring budget, schedule, and project milestones Addressing issues proactively to keep projects on track Benefits & Perks Health insurance Bonus potential Potential company vehicle after 6 months (based on availability) Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $85,000 - $150,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
