We pride ourselves on complex manufacturing and supply‑chain solutions and being a best‑in‑class employer.About the RoleUnder the direction of the Warehouse Lead, the material handler will be responsible for the cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment, placing the parameters in equipment according to specifications and procedures for the preparation of chocolate.ResponsibilitiesVisual inspection of all inbound materials prior to acceptance and unloading to ensure conformance and inspection of staged loads, SU numbers and customer specifications.Perform sample checks on inbound materials as required.Assign and store all inbound materials.Supplier of raw materials and packaging to internal customers; restock unused materials as needed.Complete daily cycle counts accurately per established auditing guidelines.Daily maintenance and inspection of all motorised equipment prior to use.Support special project needs as necessary.Using company‑approved safety protection and procedures only, dislodge super bags when necessary.Promote a safe and inclusive work environment.Notify the leader in charge of any anomaly that is outside the procedure.Respect safety rules and take care of yourself and colleagues following the safety procedures in force.Report unsafe acts and conditions.Participate in mandatory training sessions.Commit to fulfill the expectations of quality and service of the clients, as well as current regulatory compliance applicable to the food industry.Report any potential or real danger to your superior and the Quality department.Keep the area, tools and equipment in your care clean and tidy.Firmly follow the GMP's.QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalency.Work ExperienceMinimum of two years' experience in a warehouse environment including familiarity with material handling equipment, warehouse layout, storage and retrieval in a food‑manufacturing environment.Ability to follow written and oral instructions.SAP work experience preferred.Forklift experience required.Good organisation, mathematics, written and oral communication, detail orientation, interpersonal skills.Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously with a minimum of supervision.Must adhere to all GMP and food safety rules.Additional RequirementsDetail & results oriented.Ability to lift at least 25Kg (50Lbs.).Available for overtime when required.Available to work on weekends.Passion: Understanding and passion for our products.Team spirit: Cooperate, assist, participate in group activities and support other areas when required.Entrepreneurship: Do more than expected in its position, bring ideas for improvement and actively participate in its implementation.Customer focus: Focus efforts on meeting our clients' needs.Integrity: Respect our colleagues and the company.What You Can Expect from Barry CallebautCompetitive compensation package including salary (starting at $21.50 per hour), benefits, and vacation time.12 paid holidays plus your birthday off.Collaborative atmosphere with like‑minded individuals who are passionate about chocolate.The ability to grow your career within an organization that values development and internal career growth.Commitment to diversity & inclusion: We nurture an inclusive environment where people can be themselves and grow to their full potential.At Barry Callebaut, we are committed to Diversity & Inclusion.
