You will also enjoy a generous range of company benefits including paid vacation, medical and retirement plans, and car purchase discounts.General SummaryUnder general supervision, responsible for zone maintenance, vehicle receiving & shipping, inventory scanning, vehicle movement (both on and off lot), lot wash/merchandising, taking and uploading photos to carmax.com, as well as providing exceptional customer service.Principle Duties & ResponsibilitiesExecute processes as defined by work instructions and/or standardized workParticipate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities with teamParticipate in training of new associates with guidance of Inventory Associate II and/or the ManagerProvide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customersEnsure daily lot maintenance and security of the display areas and work-in-progress zonesSecure and receive vehicles that are shipped to CarMaxPrep vehicle and title packets for shipping to other locationsComplete scanning of vehicles to ensure accurate product statusComplete wash and vacuums for customer returns and loaner vehiclesComplete front-lot washPerform Photo Station processDrive vehicles on and off lot for repairs/storageProvide support to Auctions (if applicable)Responsible for workplace cleanliness and organization in accordance with CarMax 5S standardsComplete duties as assigned by Flow Inventory Associate IVs and ManagersMinimum Qualifications / RequirementsCurrent driver's license and meet the CarMax DSEPS standardsAbility to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate recordsHigh School diploma or equivalent work experience preferredAbility to execute processes as defined by work instructions and/or standardized workComplete Inventory Associate Workstation Certifications & Assigned Workday LearningsAbility to safely lift up to 50 lbsWorking ConditionsIndoor and outdoor environments may include working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions.Flexible work hours, with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.Requires walking or standing for extended periods of time in a high-energy, fast-paced working environment.Wears CarMax clothing (acquired through the company) at all times while working in the store.Follow all CarMax, O.S.H.A., and EPA standards, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment, and proper waste disposal in required areas.Adhere to all CarMax policies, including Attendance, Asset Protection, Integrity, TAWR, and Standards of Professional Appearance.SalaryHourly rate: $22.20 - $30.96BenefitsExcept as otherwise required by state law, CarMax Associates are entitled to the following paid sick, vacation, and holiday time.Full‑time hourly or commission/incentive eligible associates earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year (accrued on a per pay‑period basis) and between 80 and 200 hours of vacation time after a 90‑day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service with the Company.For 8 hours of pay for each of a total of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday.
